Sanctuary

This ambitious interactive installation was exhibited at the Beecroft Art Gallery as part of the TOMA Takeover - Reject Reflect Reclaim. An eclectic and powerfully thought-provoking group exhibition in Southend from 22 February - 11 May 2025, Sanctuary provided a bold contrast to other exhibits, it being interactive and a safe, nurturing, comfortable and dimly-lit space in which to reflect and connect. Sanctuary explored ideas of safety and containment, be it the skin on our bodies, a nest or chrysalis. Made from recycled fabric, waste materials, beads, thread and wire.
