Network

Made entirely from stitched together fruit and vegetable net bags, Network transformed a transitionary space at The Old Waterworks in the Bodywork group show. With sculptures growing up from the floor and trailing from the ceiling it became a biomorphic landscape or psychedelic scene depending upon the time of the day/night. With shadows and light deeply fascinating to me it was mesmerising watching the sculptures evolve, glow and amplify in the light. The fruit and vegetable netting was collected by a community of friends, family and acquaintances and being reliant on these donations meant relinquishing control.
