Invisible Embrace, VAO25 Finalist Exhibition

Exhibited as part of the VAO 25 Finalist Exhibition at the Minster Building, London.
Invisible Embrace features a large, bejewelled egg, once ‘broken’, but now ‘repaired’. Protected by a tentacle-like exoskeleton, this reaches out to a small, embellished egg, separated, yet invisibly connected. Made from recycled fabric, yarn and beads, this diptych incorporates embellishing, dry felting, free-motion embroidery, wire wrapping and beading. Invisible Embrace speaks of our need for connection and nurture.
