Anatomy

Anatomy invites us to look beneath the skin at the muscles, tissue and organs which we all have in common. Under the veneer of differences in race, age, sexuality, religion and beliefs, we are anatomically united, not just with fellow humans but also much of the animal kingdom. Made from hand-dyed and stitched recycled textiles and visceral ceramics, these abstract body parts are playfully reminiscent of a traditional butcher’s shop. A stainless steel counter and butcher’s shop paraphernalia sit next to a 'mountain of meat', completing the installation.
