Accumulations

Accumulations takes a fresh look at resources which many may view as waste, offering these 9 playful sculptures as art instead. For me it all starts with materials. An interesting pattern, or in the case of Downtrodden, the re-discovery of 3 pairs of boots, each frustratingly with a broken zip. Next comes the idea or story - sprouting seeds to bring the outdoors in! Sometimes a vison comes quickly, other times it’s a gradual process. Looking at a perished hot water bottle clearly no longer useable, I pictured glass splashes transforming it into Burst! Sometimes my art is a way of turning something into a positive.
